Una mirada sistémica al caso de una adolescente con fobia social

Abstract

En este estudio de caso se presenta el abordaje de adolescente que presenta fobia social como expresión de la dinámica familiar, organizada alrededor de una polaridad semántica, que está en el dilema dependencia/ necesidad de protección y la libertad e independencia, donde las emociones de base son miedo versus valentía, que se retroalimenta con narrativas sobre la incapacidad de defenderse por sí misma en un entorno que se percibe amenazante. Se realizó el proceso de intervención desde la terapia sistémica en catorce sesiones organizadas en tres momentos: evaluación del sistema familiar identificando la organización que mantiene el síntoma; el segundo grupo de sesiones se orientó a generar cambios en las pautas de interacción familiar y en ampliar la perspectiva de la adolescente acerca de si misma identificando los recursos, habilidades y fortalezas que le permitieron tener poder sobre el síntoma, y finalmente se realizó cierre del proceso valorando los logros alcanzados. In this case study addressing teenager posing social phobia as an expression of family dynamics is presented, organized around there is a semantic polarity, which is in the dependency / need for protection and freedom dilemma and independence, where emotions base are fear versus courage, which feeds with narratives about the inability to defend itself in an environment that is perceived threatening. The intervention process was carried out from systemic therapy in fourteen sessions organized in three stages: assessment of family system by identifying the organization that maintains the symptom; The second group session was aimed at generating changes in patterns of family interaction and broaden the perspective of the adolescent about herself identifying resources, skills and strengths that enabled him to have power over the symptom, and finally closing took place from valuing process achievements.
