Seguimiento al plan de gestión ambiental en la empresa Holcim Colombia S.A

Abstract

El presente proyecto de grado se efectuó en la Empresa Holcim Colombia S.A. la cual se dedica a la Producción y distribución de concreto en el municipio de Floridablanca (Santander), donde se realizó el Seguimiento al Plan de Gestión Ambiental, buscando actualizar e implementar alternativas de prevención y minimización de los impactos ambientales generados. En el periodo de evaluación según la metodología planteada se siguieron las siguientes etapas: primeramente se realizó la actualización del diagnóstico ambiental, en la segunda etapa se realizó la revisión de alternativas de prevención y minimización y por último se ejecutó los programas ambientales de producción más limpia. Durante la actualización del diagnóstico ambiental, se observaron algunas falencias en cuanto al manejo adecuado y disposición final de los residuos sólidos y peligrosos por parte de los empleados de la planta al igual que el uso eficiente del recurso energético. Los resultados obtenidos respecto al recurso hídrico fueron excelentes, se observó gran interés por parte de la empresa para la reducción del gasto hídrico, teniendo una zona de recirculación de agua para lograr reducir los consumos en un 25%; a partir de esto, se implementó un Plan de Ahorro y uso eficiente de Agua, el cual se pretende continuar con su ejecución y seguimiento.

The present draft degree took place in the company Holcim Colombia S.A. which is dedicated to the production and distribution of concrete in the Municipality of Floridablanca (Santander), where it was the monitoring of the Environmental Management Plan, looking for update and deploy alternatives for prevention and minimization of the environmental impact generated. In the evaluation period according to the methodology raised followed the following stages: 1. Updating the Environmental Diagnosis. 2. Review of alternatives for prevention and minimization. 3. Implementation of the environmental programs of cleaner production. During the upgrade of the diagnosis of the environment, there were some shortcomings with regard to proper management and final disposal of solid and hazardous waste on the part of the employees of the plant as well as the efficient use of energy resources. The results obtained with regard to the water resource were excellent, it was noted great interest on the part of the company for the reduction of water expenditure, taking a zone of recirculation of water to achieve reducing fuel consumption by 25%; from this, we have implemented a plan to the saving and efficient use of water, which it is intended to continue with its implementation and follow-up.
