Aproximaciones conceptuales sobre lo humano, el habitar y la estética en disciplinas creativas como el arte, la arquitectura y el diseño

Abstract

Este escrito surge de la pregunta de cómo pensar lo humano en el arte, la arquitectura y el diseño desde el habitar, del mismo modo como se ha hecho en disciplinas como la antropología o la filosofía. Pretende ir más allá de los límites de lo humano como concepto para reflexionar sobre el habitar y la cultura a partir de las «prácticas creativas». Con este horizonte, la tesis principal se centra en la noción de «habitar» como lugar transversal entre lo humano y el mundo de las cosas, cuya comprensión puede encontrarse en el sentido de la actividad del hombre, pues el habitar «en tanto se crea, se habita y funda el existir» (Heidegger, 1994). Se precisará en algunos problemas que subyacen a la pregunta principal: la relación entre la estética y el habitar; la relación del habitar con la arquitectura, el arte y el diseño y la interacción entre el habitar, la poiesis y las prácticas contemporáneas. Todas estas reflexiones para concluir que en la actividad del hombre que «habita»; la creatividad juega un lugar esencial en las prácticas del hacer, como son en este caso: el arte, la arquitectura y el diseño. Para mostrar este lugar se privilegiará, a manera de ejemplo, la arquitectura, siendo una de las disciplinas creativas con mayor campo de acción, cuyo valor puede englobar problemáticas como el espacio, la ciudad, el territorio, lo rural, lo urbano, la vivienda, etc.; temas también posibles tanto para el arte como para el diseño. Todas estas reflexiones servirán para aportarle a las discusiones actuales sobre responsabilidad social y, de paso, intentarán trazar un horizonte más cercano a la realidad de los contextos para la creación de posibles escenarios interdisciplinarios entre prácticas creativas.

This paper emerges from the question of how to think the human in art, architecture and design from the act of inhabiting, in the same way as it has been done in disciplines such as anthropology or philosophy. It aims at going beyond the limits of the human as a concept to reflect upon the act of inhabiting and the culture building on “creative practices”. With this horizon in mind, the main thesis focuses on the notion of «inhabiting» as a cross-cutting point between the human and the world of things, whose understanding can be found in the sense of the activity of man, since ‘as long as it is created, it is inhabited and founds the existing’ (Heidegger, 1994). A point will have to be made on some problems that underlie the main question: the relationship between aesthetics and inhabiting, the relationship between inhabiting and architecture, art and design, and the interaction between inhabiting, poiesis and contemporary practices. All these reflections lead to conclude that, in the activity of the individual who «inhabits», creativity plays a fundamental role in the practices of doing, such as in this case: art, architecture and design. In order to show this place, architecture will be given privilege, by way of example, for it is one of the creative disciplines with a broader scope of action, whose value can embrace problematic issues such as space, city, territory, the rural, the urban, housing, and so on, although also possible for both art and design. ll these reflections will contribute to the current discussion on social responsibility and, incidentally, will try to draw a horizon that is closer to the reality of the contexts for the creation of interdisciplinary scenarios between creative practices.
