Práctica Empresarial Grupo Siatec Ltda

Abstract

En este documento se explican las actividades realizadas por el estudiante en la empresa Grupo Siatec Ltda. durante los cinco meses que se realizó la práctica empresarial. El trabajo se realizó, bajo la supervisión de los ingenieros de la empresa y además, utilizando los manuales de los equipos que se requirieron. Se apoyó la ejecución de proyectos en áreas de electrónica como comunicaciones, redes e instrumentación. El estudiante se encargó del manejo y configuración de equipos tales como routers, Access point, sensores, etc. Entre las principales actividades realizadas se destacan el montaje de sistemas cerrados de televisión utilizando diferentes tipos de cámaras análogas, digitales, con transmisión por cable e inalámbricas para la vigilancia de diferentes empresas en el departamento de Santander. Se realizó el montaje de los módulos entrenadores de instrumentación para la Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. Se soportó la ejecución de tareas de mantenimiento de redes de datos y equipos de cómputo. Adicionalmente, se llevo a cabo el montaje de enlaces microondas en la ciudad de pasto. Esta práctica permitió al estudiante interactuar en un ámbito laboral explorando las diferentes áreas de aplicación que tiene la carrera, logrando aplicar y ampliar conocimientos obtenidos durante el pregrado, otorgando así experiencia y seguridad al momento de ejercer su profesión. Por otra parte se logró conocer el funcionamiento de instrumentación como sensores, indicadores y transmisores. Además de identificar y aprender a configurar equipos que conforman una red LAN básica.

In this document, the activities carried out by the student during the five-month internship at the Grupo Siatec Ltda., are described. These activities are explained along with their corresponding theoretical basis. This internship was guided by the company´s engineers and also the student use the manuals of the equipment required. The student supported the execution of projects in several areas of electronics such as communications, networks and instrumentation. The student was in charge of operation and configuration of devices such as routers, access points, sensors, etc. Among the main activities performed, there are: the setup of closed-circuit television systems using different kinds of analog and digital cameras with cable and wireless transmission for the surveillance of various companies in the department of Santander. Besides, Instrumentation training modules were made for the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. The maintenance and operation of data networks and computer systems was supported. Finally, the set up of microwave links was carried out in the city of Pasto. This internship allowed the student to interact in a work environment exploring the different application areas of the field of study. Also it allowed apply and expand the knowledge acquired during the undergraduate studies. Thus, it provided experience and security to the student for his career. Furthermore, the student was able to see the operation principles of instrumentation devices such as sensors, indicators, and transmitters, as well as, to identify and learn how to configure the equipment that makes up a basic LAN network.
