Análisis de las causas y posibles soluciones al deterioro de la iglesia del municipio de Pinchote

Abstract

El presente proyecto identifica las causas del deterioro de la iglesia del Municipio de Pinchote “Santander” y del mismo modo plantear posibles soluciones a esta problemática. Se realiza un estudio investigativo general acerca de las condiciones actuales de la estructura, del suelo y una recopilación histórica acerca de su construcción, terminación, remodelaciones y mejoras realizadas en los últimos años; para lograr esto se realizaron seis sondeos distribuidos en el perímetro de la iglesia que permitieron clasificar los suelos, conocer sus características y hallar la capacidad portante de los mismos, sobre la parte estructural se realizó el levantamiento topográfico y el análisis de cargas con el fin de calcular los esfuerzos a los cuales está sometido el suelo. De acuerdo a los resultados obtenidos en los diferentes ensayos realizados se llegó a la conclusión que la principal causa del deterioro de la iglesia radica en el cambio de humedad del suelo a raíz de una mejora en el manejo de las aguas lluvias de la iglesia, se identificó como segunda causa las características desfavorables en los diferentes tipos de suelos sobre los cuales está construida la iglesia ocasionando asentamientos diferenciales severos que causaron el deterioro de la estructura.

The principal goal of this project is to understand the damage to the land of the church of Pinchote Santander, and at the same time to find solutions for this damage. First, we did research about the actual conditions of the structure on the ground and wrote a summary of the whole history of it´s construction, termination, redesign, and restructuring in the past; to get this score we did six test drilling distributed in the church´s perimeter that allowed us to classify the grounds, learn more about the characteristics, and find their problems. We made a topographical study of the building and analyzed loads to calculate the weight that the ground had to support. In agreement with the scores in the different trials carried out, the conclusion is that the first cause of the problem in the church´s ground is the moisture in the soil as a result of rainwater, the second cause is the unfavourable characteristics in the different types of soil where the church was built, causing different and severe settlement that caused the damage in the building.
