Desarrollo del material de apoyo para la asignatura sistemas de información

Abstract

Dado el enfoque técnico que posee la Especialización en Telecomunicaciones, y considerando que en las organizaciones el egresado normalmente desempeñará sus funciones en el área administrativa y de alta gerencia, se hace necesario incluir contenidos que le permitan mejorar su nivel de capacitación. La Gestión de Redes es un área que ha tenido una gran evolución en la última década, motivada no solo por el vertiginoso desarrollo de las Telecomunicaciones y las Tecnologías de la Información, sino por la convergencia y la gran demanda de servicios con mayor ancho de banda y mas calidad, tanto para las aplicaciones que se desarrollan como para los nuevos y cada vez más poderosos dispositivos terminales al alcance del usuario. Existen tres grandes modelos de gestión de redes: TMN (enfocado hacia las Redes de Telecomunicaciones), ISO-OSI e INTERNET (SNMP y WBEM enfocados hacia las Redes de Computadores). Aunque el modelo OSI surgió primero y tomó como base el modelo de Sistemas Abiertos, buena parte de la estructuración fue retomada y ajustada a los otros modelos por los organismos encargados de su normalización. Esto ha permitido que entre los tres modelos existan elementos comunes, lo que facilita que las aplicaciones se comuniquen entre sí, permitiendo el desarrollo de sistemas integrados de gestión El proyecto parte de una exploración empleando la documentación e Internet, entrelaza contenidos y estructura una serie de diapositivas con sus páginas de notas, para producir un documento que complementará la guía del estudiante en el curso Sistemas de Información. También se anexan las principales recomendaciones de los organismos normalizadores de la temática tratada. La gestión de redes se hace cada día más necesaria en mayor cantidad de organizaciones y es por este motivo que las instituciones universitarias también deben incluirla como tema obligado en los planes de estudio correspondientes a las áreas de telecomunicaciones.

There are three main models for managing networks: TMN (oriented Telecommunication Networks), ISO-OSI and INTERNET (SNMP and WBEM focused Network Computer). Although the OSI model emerged first and took as a base model of Open Systems, a large part of the structure was picked up and adjusted to the other models by the agencies responsible for its standardization. This has allowed the three models exist between common elements, which facilitates applications to communicate with each other, allowing the development of integrated management systems. The project begin with a scan using documentation and the Internet, content and structure weaves a series of slides with their pages of notes, to produce a document that will complement the student handbook in the course Information Systems.
