Descripción de personificación en narrativas y representaciones sociales en cementerios de Bucaramanga

Abstract

Esta es una investigación cualitativa de corte descriptivo, que busca analizar y describir las narrativas y las representaciones sociales de personificación del difunto que se pueden evidenciar en dos cementerios del área metropolitana de la ciudad de Bucaramanga: Parque cementerio jardines La Colina y el cementerio católico Arquidiocesano de Bucaramanga, con el propósito de explorar el grado de secularización que por tradición funeraria pueda haberse adoptado en la ciudad. Para lograr dicho fin, se implementó observación no-participante y análisis de contenido en las lápidas, que arrojaron información escrita e iconográfica representativa de las creencias escatológicas en estos cementerios. Para este estudio se tomaron conceptos claves como performance, lápida, duelo y muerte, todos relacionados con la última despedida del difunto del mundo de los vivos y con la manifestación que puede evidenciarse del duelo. Los resultados de esta investigación apuntan a identificar rasgos relacionados con la personificación de los difuntos enterrados en la ciudad de Bucaramanga, y así mismo, muestra la secularización de las narrativas en los cementerios, resaltando la nueva relación entre vivos y muertos, la reconfiguración del vínculo familiar, la idea que se tiene del destino en el cuál descansan los muertos y las actuaciones de los deudos en las visitas a las tumbas, a través del análisis de los epitafios, la iconografía y las observaciones, destacando sus respectivas manifestaciones del proceso de duelo, como la aceptación de la muerte, despedida, recuerdo o memoria del fallecido(a), sensibilidad, entre otras.

This is a descriptive qualitative research, which seeks to analyze and describe the narratives and social representations of personification of the deceased that can be evidenced in two cemeteries in the metropolitan area of the city of Bucaramanga: Parque cementerio Jardines La Colina and the cementerio Catolico Arquidiocesano de Bucaramanga, with the purpose of exploring the rank of secularization that by funerary tradition may have adopted in the city. To achieve this goal, non-participant observation and content analysis will be implemented in the tombstones, which provide written and iconographic information representative of eschatological beliefs in these two cemeteries. For this study, key concepts such as performance, tombstone, mourning and death will be taken, all related to the last farewell of the deceased of the world of the living and, with the manifestation that can be evidenced of the grief. The results of this investigation aim to identify features related to the personification of the deceased buried in the city of Bucaramanga, and likewise, show the secularization of the narratives in the cemeteries, highlighting the new relationship between living and dead, the reconfiguration of the family link, the idea of the destination in which the dead rest and the performances of the relatives in the visits to the burials through the analysis of the epitaphs, the iconography and the observations, highlighting their respective manifestations of the grieving process, such as the acceptance of death, farewell, remembrance or memory of the deceased, sensitivity, among others.
