Evaluación del impacto de un programa de intervención cognitivo - conductual para niños con deficit de atención con hiperactividad, pertenecientes a instituciones educativas del Municipio de Girón

Abstract

Esta es una investigación pre-experimental, con un diseño pre-prueba post-prueba, con un solo grupo de tipo descriptivo, que tuvo como principal objetivo, evaluar el impacto de un programa de intervención cognitivo-conductual, para niños con déficit de atención con hiperactividad, pertenecientes a instituciones educativas del municipio de Girón. La población objeto de estudio fue de 10 estudiantes de edades entre 6 y 12 años, los cuales fueron evaluados a partir de un previo diagnóstico psiquiátrico y de la aplicación de la escala para la Evaluación del Trastorno por Déficit de Atención con Hiperactividad EDAH (Farre y Carbona, 1999) aplicado a padres y maestros, historia clínica y criterios del DSM IV-R. A través de la aplicación de la escala (EDAH) antes y después del programa, se identificaron cambios significativos en los comportamientos de los participantes ya que se encontró disminución de los síntomas centrales del TDAH (atención, hiperactividad e impulsividad), los cuales afectaban la dimensión cognitiva, emocional y social de los niños. This is a pre-experimental research, with a design it pre-test and post-test, with one group of descriptive type, which it took as a principal target, to evaluate the impact of a program of cognitive-behavioral intervention for children with deficit of attention with hyperactivity, belonging educational institutions of Girón. The sample of study was to 10 students of ages between 6 and 12 years, which were evaluated from a previous psychiatric diagnosis and of the application of the scale for the Evaluation of the Disorder for Deficit of Attention with Hyperactivity EDAH (Farre and Carbona, 1999) applied to parents and teachers, case history and criteria of the DSM IV-R. Through the application of the scale (EDAH) before and after the program, significant changes were identified in the behaviors of the participants since one found decrease of the central symptoms of the TDAH (attention, hyperactivity and impulsiveness), which were affecting the cognitive, emotional and social dimension of the children.
