Abstract

According to the Bible, reconciliation is a matter involving the will of forgiveness; even more, the Bible states that the mistreated is the one indeed in charge of forgiveness itself. This article talks about all the values related to forgiveness making a comparison between the Genesis book (the reconciliation scene between Jacob and Esau) and the parable of the Father and the two sons (Luke 15, 11-32). Being able of hugging and kissing my brother and sister represents two founding attitudes, although not the only ones, by which human beings can stop confrontation as a mean to recognize others as their fellow man.
