Abstract
Este artículo revisa la teoría de la composición de E. A. Poe, a la luz del emblemático relato El gato negro. Para su consideración se vale principalmente de los elementos del análisis literario propuesto por los formalistas rusos, cuya presencia es notable en el escrito.
The paper reviews Edgar Allan Poe’s philosophy of composition having as starting point his well-known tale The Black Cat. It takes into consideration the elements of literary analysis proposed by Russian Formalists which, according to our study, have a remarkable presence along Poe’s tale.
