Abstract
En este artículo se traduce, analiza y comenta la paremia σωφρονεῖν καλόν que aparece en el verso 587 de la tragedia Áyaxde Sófocles. Durante la interpretación de este dicho, se tiene en cuenta el carácter ético de la σωφροσύνη y su aparición en algunas fuentes filosóficas e historiográficas.
