Abstract

En este estudio se empleó el pseudoliquen Tillandsia usneoides como indicador de la calidad del aire. La planta fue ubicada en las 20 estaciones de monitoreo de la red de calidad de aire, REDARIE y se cuantificaron las concentraciones de los metales magnesio, cobre, hierro y calcio. Los datos obtenidos fueron procesados en el sofware Arc View 8.1. Las zonas con mayor concentración de metales pesados fueron Sabaneta y La Estrella, estaciones ubicadas en el sur de la zona evaluada. En general, las captaciones fructuaron así: 2.6 -1427.5 μg Cu/g planta, 2.7-5637.6 μg Fe/g planta, 40.1-296.9 μg Ca/g planta y 3206.6- 20876.4 μg Mg/g planta.


This study was used pseudoliquen Spanish moss as an indicator of air quality. The plant was located in the 20 monitoring stations of the network of air quality, REDARIE were quantified concentrations of metals magnesium, copper, iron and calcium. The data were processed in Arc View 8.1 software. The areas with higher concentrations of heavy metals were Sabaneta and La Estrella, stations located in the south of the Area of study. In general, heavy metal concentrations were in the following ranges: 6 -1427.5 μg Cu/g plant, 2.7-5637.6 μg Fe/g plant, 40.1-296.9 μg Ca/g plant y 3206.6- 20876.4 μg Mg/g plant.
