Abstract
Este trabajo pretende resumir el surgimiento y desarrollo de la tipografía occidental desde el comienzo de la imprenta hasta el siglo XIX en Inglaterra, con el fin de argumentar y graficar la influencia que tuvo la Revolución Industrial en la creación de nuevas familias tipográficas altamente legibles respondiendo así al nuevo orden económico.
