Abstract
Este proyecto busca clarificar los conceptos acerca la norma IEC 61850 y observar hacia donde apuntan los nuevos desarrollos de la misma, para luego diseñar la red de telecomunicaciones de una subestación eléctrica genérica con una vida útil larga, facilidad de mantenimiento, reduciendo el cableado en cobre y con equipos tecnológicamente actualizados; haciendo uso Software Defined Networking para el manejo del flujo de datos y el tráfico en la red.
