Abstract

La elección del retrato al óleo del ingeniero Francisco Javier Cisneros representado por el maestro Francisco Antonio Cano, tiene como objetivo recavar y activar, en el contexto documental, histórico y artístico de la obra, puntos claves de identidad que permitan demostrar su valor como bien de interés cultural en los ámbitos regional y nacional, no solo por lo que ha representado la imagen de esta insigne figura pública en la génesis y posterior desarrollo de la empresa ferroviaria, sino también, y especialmente, por el valor estrechamente ligado al resto de expresiones culturales, artísticas, imaginarios y demás manifestaciones intangibles que acompañaron la cultura ferroviaria de Antioquia, aportando de paso, contenidos de valor simbólico y significativo que se constituyen en memoria presente e identidad. The choice of an oil portrait of engineer Francisco Javier Cisneros represented by the artist Francisco Antonio Cano is intended to obtain and activate, in its documentary, historical and artistic context, identity key points to prove its worth as a cultural interest good at the regional and national levels, not only for what the image of this famous public figure has represented in the genesis and further development of the railway industry, but also, and especially, because of its value closely linked to other cultural, artistic, imaginative expressions, as well as other intangible manifestations that accornpanied the Antioquenian railway culture, providing, on the way, symbolic value contents and meaning that become present memory and identity.
