The liturgy has as its foundation the celebration of the Paschal Mystery of the Lord, which in turn is the basis of Christian faith and hope. It is for this reason that the liturgy itself is a place of hope for the contemporary man, and of a hope that aspires to its complete fulfillment in the eschatological scale. However, in order to fully experience hope during the liturgical action, an “active participation” is required as has been stated by the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy Sacrosanctum Concilium (# 48) through which the faithful discover and feel the presence of God, so that it may open the horizons of their existence and allow them to see their own reality in a different way, one which is full of hope.spa
