Domesticando el espacio habitado: impacto del metrocable en las dinámicas domésticas del habitar y la intimidad

Abstract

A partir de la aparición del Metrocable en la comuna 13 de la ciudad de Medellín, en el año 2006, se han presentado múltiples cambios en la infraestructura de los barrios circundantes. La presencia de observadores en el constante tránsito aéreo ha influido directamente las formas de vivir y en los hábitos domésticos de los habitantes de estos sectores. Este artículo establece cuáles han sido estas transformaciones, no en términos de construcciones e infraestructura, sino al interior de la vivienda, tomando como eje de análisis el concepto de domesticación, referido al habitar y a la intimidad como factores determinantes en las transformaciones generadas. Since the appearance of Metrocable in the city of Medellín in 2006 there have been multiple changes in the infrastructure of the surrounding neighborhoods. The presence of an aerial observer has directly influenced the ways if living an the domestic habits of the population of the area. This article establishes wich have been these transformations, not in terms of building and infrastructure, but inside the house, taking as a point of analysis the concept of domestication, referring to inhabiting and to privacy as determining factors for these transformations.
