dc.description.abstractEn este artículo se presentan estudios sobre la tecnología de punta que se está proponiendo actualmente en los sistemas de transmisión en corriente directa (HVdc del inglés High Voltage direct current transmission). Esta tecnología conocida como Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC), proporciona grandes beneficios y alternativas para las estaciones convertidoras utilizadas convencionalmente en los sistemas HVdc. Se analizan los tipos de conexiones que se utilizan en los sistemas HVdc, seguido de las configuraciones utilizadas en las estaciones convertidoras. Finalmente se procede con la caracterización de la tecnología MMC y cómo serían los requisitos y comportamiento en una red eléctrica, especialmente durante condiciones de falla.spa
dc.description.abstractIn this paper, studies on the technology that is currently being proposed for direct current transmission systems, HVdc, are presented. The technology is known as Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) and provides great benefits and alternatives to the conventional converter stations of HVdc systems. The types of connections that are used in HVdc systems are discussed, followed by the settings applied in the converter stations. Finally, it is discussed the characterization of MMC technology and how would be its requirements and behavior in a power grid, especially during fault conditions.spa
