Abstract
Se fabricaron tableros aglomerados sin aditivos a partir de Gynerium sagittatum pretratada con vapor. Se empleó un diseño de experimentos 22 + estrella con 8 repeticiones para modelar el efecto de la temperatura de prensado (Tp) entre 137 - 223°C y la severidad del pretratamiento (Se) entre 3,15 – 4,84 sobre las propiedades: módulo de ruptura (MOR), módulo de elasticidad (MOE) e hinchamiento en espesor (TS). A partir del modelo obtenido se determinaron los valores óptimos de los factores Se 4,11 y Tp 217°C que reportaron un MOE de 5612 MPa, un MOR de 34,2 MPa y un TS de 7,76%. Se obtuvieron tableros aglomerados de alta densidad y calidad a partir de Gynerium sagittatum mediante tratamiento con steam explosion, superando los valores mínimos exigidos por las normas europeas y españolas. Binderless fiberboards were manufactured from steam exploded Gynerium sagittatum. An experimental design 2 2 + star with 8 replicates was used for modeling the effect of the pressing temperature (Tp) between 137-223°C and the severity of pretreatment (Se) between 3,15 to 4,84 on the properties: modulus of rupture (MOR), modulus of elasticity (MOE) and thickness swelling (TS). From the model obtained the optimal values of the factors were Se 4,11 and Tp 217 °C reported an MOE of 5612 MPa, a MOR 34,2 MPa and 7,76% TS were determined. Binderless fiberboards of high density and quality were obtained from Gynerium sagittatum by treatment with steam explosion, beyond the minimum values required by Spanish and European standards.
