Impacto del TLC en el sector avícola del departamento de Santander

Abstract

En la economía mundial se están presentando fenómenos importantes que buscan la extensión de los mercados, llevando a que los gobiernos de los países realicen acuerdos con sus homólogos para no versen excluidos de la unión económica mundial; por esta razón, el gobierno Colombiano está negociando Tratados de Libre Comercio con diferentes países, pero el más importante, por sus beneficios y por la capacidad de adquisición es el Tratado Libre Comercio con Estados Unidos. El sector avícola del departamento de Santander ha venido presentando un crecimiento notorio en los últimos años; por lo cual se mostro como un sector importante para el departamento y para la negociación, pero a su vez es un sector sensible por múltiples factores tanto internos como externos. Se realizo una investigación aplicada buscando las empresas más importantes del sector en el departamento de Santander y se llego a un análisis estratégico para determinar las oportunidades, amenazas, fortalezas y debilidades que internamente y externamente afectan el crecimien o de cada empresa, y por ende el del sector avícola; se desarrollaron estrategias que ayudaran al sector a ser más competitivo frente a nuevos mercados o nuevos retos que llegasen con la entrada en vigencia del Tratado de Libre Comercio con Estados Unidos.

In the world economy, important phenomena have raised aimed at broadening markets leading governments for not being excluded from worldwide economy union. For this reason, the Colombian government is negotiating Free Trade Agreements with different countries, but the most important, because of its benefits and the capacity of acquisition it has with the U.S.A. The poultry sector of the Department of Santander has been showing a significant growth in the last year. Thus showing itself as an important sector for the Department and for negotiating, but at the same time it is a sensitive sector because of multiple factors, which can be internal or external. An applied research was carried out looking for the most important companies of the sector in the Department of Santander and it reached a strategic analysis to determine the opportunities, threatens, strengths and weaknesses that inside and outside can affect the growth of each company and as a consequence the poultry sector too. Strategies are developed to help the sector to be more competitive facing new markets or new challenges to arrive with the validity of the “TLC” with the U.S.A.
