Estudio de viabilidad para la implementación del servicio de televisión utilizando protocolo IP (IPTV) en el área metropolitana de Bucaramanga -Telebucaramanga.

Abstract

IPTV es televisión a través de la red y significa Internet Protocol Television, este sistema permite añadir nuevos servicios como pago por ver o PPV, video bajo demanda, mayor contenido, comodidad, personalización de la publicidad, servicios de información, e-learning, nPVR o grabador de video personal en red y time-shifting o interactividad en tiempo real con el canal de televisión. Esta monografía pretende elaborar una propuesta de viabilidad para la implementación del servicio de TV sobre el protocolo IP (IPTV) en la infraestructura de Telebucaramanga, teniendo en cuenta que en el transcurso de cada uno de los capítulos se abarcarán los temas como el estudio de las diferentes formas de transmitir televisión (cable, satelital y digital), realización de un estudio de tecnologías y proveedores que permitan determinar la plataforma, así como el marco regulatorio aplicado a este producto (Comisión Nacional de Televisión), en cuanto al estudio de viabilidad de la infraestructura de Telebucaramanga se realizó en las ciudades de Bucaramanga, Floridablanca y Girón el cual comprende el área metropolitana de Bucaramanga - Colombia, las cuales hacen parte de la zona de cobertura de las redes actuales de internet de banda ancha y de telefonía fija de esta empresa, en esta parte se revisa la infraestructura e inversiones de la red IPTV, se cuantifican las inversiones y el flujo de caja que permitan determinar la viabilidad financiera del negocio y evaluar la rentabilidad del negocio basado en el estudio financiero y económico. Finalmente se propone un diseño de la red IPTV para el área de Bucaramanga.

IPTV is television over the network and it is mean Internet Protocol Television, this system allows us to add new services such as pay-per-view or PPV, video on demand, greater content, ease of use, customization of advertising, information services, e-learning, nPVR or personal video recorder networking and time-shifting or real time interactivity with the television channel. This paper aims to develop a proposed of viability for the implementation of the TV service on the IP protocol (IPTV) in Telebucaramanga`s infrastructure, each of the chapters cover topics such as the study of different ways to transmit television (cable, satelital and digital), a study of technologies and companies to determine the platform, as well as the regulatory framework applied to the product (National Television Commission), in terms of the viability study of Telebucaramanga infrastructure was conducted in the cities of Bucaramanga, Floridablanca and Giron which includes metropolitan Bucaramanga - Colombia, They are part of the coverage area of existing networks, Internet broadband and fixed telephony of this company, this section reviews the infrastructure and investment in the network IPTV, quantified investment and cash flow to determine the financial viability of the business and evaluate the profitability of the business based on the financial and economic study. Finally we propose a design of the IPTV network for the area of Bucaramanga.
