Implementación del plan de gestión del departamento de gestión ambiental - DGA - en Colombiana de Extrusión S.A, previa actualización

Abstract

Colombiana de extrusión S.A, cuenta con una política integrada que involucra un compromiso con el medio ambiente, debido a que se encuentra certificada en ISO 14001, por tal motivo la empresa busca minimizar los impactos que genera durante los procesos de fabricación de tubería de polietileno, a través de la creación del departamento de gestión ambiental, así mismo cumpliendo con la normatividad ambiental vigente, debido que es un requisito actualmente en las empresas, para prevenir, controlar y mitigar los problemas generados al ambiente. Para la implementación del departamento de gestión ambiental – DGA - fue necesario realizar una actualización previa, debido a que las actividades estipuladas no habían sido ejecutadas o se encontraban fuera del alcance. Por lo anterior, se implementaron diferentes estrategias y planes para el ahorro de energía, agua, el manejo adecuado de residuos sólidos y la verificación legal ambiental vigente, los cuales son los temas de índole ambiental de mayor prioridad al interior de la empresa. Debido a los altos volúmenes de residuos sólidos generados, fue necesario capacitar a todo el personal de la empresa, buscando minimizar la generación de residuos ordinarios y el incremento de los materiales reciclables, a través de la implementación de estrategias para la segregación adecuada de los residuos sólidos, aumentando la vida útil del relleno sanitario y afianzando una cultura ambiental en los empleados. De igual forma, se realizó una caracterización de los residuos sólidos ordinarios, para identificar la cantidad de material reciclable que se podría recuperar previo de su disposición final.

Colombian of extrusion S.A, possesses whit an integrated politics that it involves a commitment with the environment, because is certified in ISO 14001, for such a motive the company search to minimize the impacts that it generates during the manufacturing processes of pipeline of polyethylene, across the creation of the department of environmental management, Likewise expiring with the environmental in force legislation, due to that is a requirement nowadays in the companies, to anticipate, to control and to mitigate the problems generated to the environment. For the implementation of the department of environmental management - DGA - it was necessary to realize a previous update, due to the fact that the stipulated activities had not been executed or were out of the scope. For the previous thing, different strategies and plans were implemented for the saving of energy, water and the suitable managing of solid residues, which are the topics of environmental nature of major priority to the interior of the company. Due to the high volumes of solid generated residues, it was necessary to qualify to the whole personnel of the company, seeking to minimize the generation of ordinary residues and the increase of the recyclable materials, across the implementation of strategies for the suitable segregation of the solid residues, increasing the useful life of the sanitary landfill and guaranteeing an environmental culture in the personnel. Of equal form, there was realized a characterization of the solid ordinary residues, to identify the quantity of recyclable material that might recover previously of his final disposition.
