This document gives a brief overview of the cable modem device configured in the device tree of the Network Designer. The device supports SNMP and TFTP.
The following MIBs are supported in the cable modem device.

To view the MIB values configured, select SNMP Agent Values option from the right-click menu of the device in the device tree.
The following scripts are configured in the Behaviour Configuration wizard.
UpdateSoftware.py:
This script is configured to be executed at agent startup. It enables software upgrades by uploading the file specified in the DOCS-CABLE-DEVICE-MIB with OID .1.3.6.1.2.1.69.1.3.2, from TFTP server running at ipaddress specified in the DOCS-CABLE-DEVICE-MIB with OID .1.3.6.1.2.1.69.1.3.1 at port 69.
The script file is available in <SimulatorHome>/devices/db/<devicename>/snmp directory.
Create a network using the cable modem device. Refer to Creating and Configuring a Network.
Start the device by selecting the right-click option "Start Device". The device will be started at default SNMP port 8001 and TFTP port 69. To start all the devices in the network, select Run -> Start Network.
